There are literally hundreds and hundreds of spyware and adware programs lurking somewhere on the Internet, looking for a chance to get into your PC.

Did you know that 80% of computers connected to the internet are infected by spyware, adware, malware, trojans, keyloggers etc and the owners don’t even know it. It’s a must to keep your PC clean at all times and always remove spyware virus threats.

Spyware is software that infects a computer against the user’s knowledge for the purpose of obtaining private information and can also be categorized as malware.

Adware is used for marketing purposes, it operates in the same manner as spyware, is just as invasive, and causes a lot of headaches for the average computer user.

Keyloggers can record your passwords, emails, credit card number, etc. Most keyloggers will eventually save the recorded data into a location in the hard disk. Despite their variety, all keyloggers use the same mechanism to monitor your keystrokes and text buffers. Keyloggers, both hardware and software, are basically designed to capture what a user types on the keyboard.

New variants are unleashed all the time, so it’s extremely important to keep your system up-to-date so it can adequately deal with new threats and remove spyware as it appears.

Viruses are most easily spread by attachments in e-mail messages or instant messaging messages. Viruses also spread through downloads on the Internet. Trojan horses, viruses, and worms fall under the category of ‘malware.

Computer Worms are viruses that reside in the active memory of a computer and duplicate themselves. Trojans are not viruses since they do not replicate, but Trojan horse programs can be just as destructive.

The best way to cope with malware, in addition to exercising vigilance and caution while online, is to install anti-spyware software to detect and destroy unwanted programs on your computer.

Spyware is an ever growing Internet threat. A test done by National Cyber Security Alliance showed that more than 90% of all PCs are infected with spyware. These dangerous programs are designed to bypass anti-virus & firewall software and the user knows nothing about it.

Once spyware is embedded on your PC, it can slow down your computers performance to a crawl and gather personal information about you. Spyware programs do not replicate like viruses and worms but can be just as harmful to your PC.

Spyware can get into your PC in several ways. One of the most common ways is when you install it without even knowing it. Spyware can come bundled in a shareware or freeware program without your knowledge, once you have downloaded the program to your computer it goes to work silently in the background collecting your personal data so that the author of the spyware program can use or sell your personal data to a third party. Always beware of P2P file sharing programs. They are known for downloads that contain spyware.

There are many types of spyware programs that can infect your PC through security holes in your web browser, when you click a link to a web page that is controlled by a spyware author, the page can contain malicious coding and can attack your browser and automatically install it’s self on your PC. That’s why it’s a must to have virus & spyware protection software installed on your computer, but you don’t want just any virus & spyware protection software, you want the best anti virus and spyware software out there, and i can help you with that, just read my author bio below.

Here Is a list of a few things that spyware programs can do:

Record your keystrokes when you type on your keyboard

Scan files on your PCs hard drive

Search through files stored on our desktop

Install many other types of spyware programs into your PC

Steal passwords, credit card numbers, and personal information about you

Embed annoying pop up advertisements into your PC
